Free never expires and syncs each game up to 1 GB, 2 GB in total. When one of your games weighs more than that, Free can't sync it whole. That is what Pro is for: 10 GB per game and 100 GB in total.

Pay for Pro once and the device limit is lifted from your account for good. Go back to Free later and your storage returns to 2 GB, but every machine you paired stays paired.
Where your money goes
Pro pays for keeping Hoard One running, and nothing else: the servers, the storage and the domain. Almost everyone on Hoard One is on Free, and Pro is what makes that possible. No investors, no ads, no selling data.
